Lissen youse - no-one around here is speaking to you. We don't like you and we are sorry that we ever met you now that we know how disgracefully you have treated M. Shard. Such a public humiliation cannot go unpunished so shame on you.

I'm not surprised there are pics of lobbydossers appearing on this thread.
That's what happens when you fit one of these new fangled sewing machines to the propshaft.
Big "C"s exhaust noise is probably equivalent to feline bottybreath in comparison to a REAL gents motorsailer with the original machinery intact.

What's that - speak up, I can't hear a word you're saying..

its - oops - it's the rythmic eliagic throbbing that reminds the auld goat of times past.

BUT! scurrilous suggestions that his fine boat's performance (windward to boot) was not as reported are dastardly utterances from those not a little envious of the skill displayed on that day.

Tee hee, think there is a different convention for motorsailers - if the sails are up and it's doing more than 3.5 knots, everyone knows it's definitely motoring so they don't need a cone

Ah but they have some definite advantages such as when the weather's bad, and then there's the tardis-like interior. Just not built for speed that's all!

Ah the "chentlemen" show their true colours.
No wonder they come home all scraped and bruised.
I'll stick to the more genteel Clyde Scuttlebutt, I think.
