Thought four days on a traditional boat would be a a different, but nice way to spend Easter. Assumed that early in the Season we'd be in a strong negotiating position with Hunter's Yard.

What cracking business. I reckon the Scottish Charter firms might view a 'Friends of' society numbering 700+ to be an unsporting advantage!

It is nice on the Norfolk Broads.

I wouldn't go at Easter, the Trail Sail Association trip there last year was a washout (snowout/flood), though to be fair it's a regular place in our calendar so it must be good sometimes.

I did my first charter there with my twin brother aged 17 and our girlfriends who were 16. Their parents must have been mad (although not that mad - neither of us got our leg over.) 'Twas an orgy of under-age drinking though. I have a feeling we were exactly the kind of people I'd be hoping to avoid this time!

When I was doing research for my trips to Norfolk I found this forum helpfull http://www.the-norfolk-broads.co.uk/index.cfm.

They are more of a Broads forum rather than a boaty forum. They think it bad form to discuss any other sailing area.

I found the info on bridge types and air draught good.
