Had considered buying it until I saw the price, I think it will have to go on my christmas wish list.

Not used Amazon before, but I find the pricing confusing, as it first appeared at £109 then when I looked a few min later it is £17.99.
So whats happening?
i created an account, and proceded to check out where it is showing the book at £17.99, but haow can I check if this is the actual amount that will be taken?

Yep. Built a Mirror dinghy back in the early 80s. Maiden voyage was deep sea from Cairnbulg to Fraserburgh, then we spent the Summer on Loch Ness.Any of you ever built a boat of any discription?

Yes, built the YW "Buccaneer"/AKA Van de Stadt "Primaat" - 23ft hard chine sloop in 1970-72 (in New Zealand) but had to sell it before trying on the water.
Currently sailing Selway Fisher "Simplicity 14", which I built in garage here in UK 2005.

Re: Anyone have this book?
Just spent this winter building a bigger workshop so that I could have a crack at building a small boat, for next winters project. So this thread was interesting because started to think about plans and wood etc. Contemplating what book to buy.
Would be interested to hear when you get the book if you rate it as good as it looks.

Daigrams very small but considering it only arrived today and I have only had a peek at it, it does look very interesting and I reckon I could produce something out of it, but would probably add epoxy to the equation.Daveanmucker wrote:Just spent this winter building a bigger workshop so that I could have a crack at building a small boat, for next winters project. Inches feet and fractions give me no problem at all its the damn metric that I have trouble with, must be my age.
