Above the video on Youze-tube I have this message
So I press cancel to return to English UK, unfortunately it mustn't have worked as the dialect of the video was still in a bizarre and unintelligent twaddle. Apparently, he just sailed over a sand bar, lucky thing he didn't over react eh?Click "OK" to accept these settings or click "Cancel" to set your language preference to "English (GB)" and your country filter to "Worldwide (All)".

I take it you don't have any friends in Warrington, Jools?
Anyway, sand bars are cool for cats, but not so good in monos. But you're right, certainly shook him up a bit.

Re: Huggy's Latest
hi guys. yes that really excrement me up that 1. against all odds, i've made it to zackyinthos in greece. but i've had a really bad time here. i've been battered against a nasty harbour wall for 3 days, in storm force winds (i've got the video to proove it this time.) losing my rudder and making a mess of the boat a bit, i dread seeing what damage is underwater, if she was wood or fiberglass she would be on the bottom now. ive now managed to move the boat to a safer part of the harbour and fixed the rudder. i'm currently uploading no 22 on youtube. 1. cheers. huggy.

Huggy,
If I'm teaching you to suck eggs then please feel free to slag me off in your next vid, but if you are getting banged against a harbour wall then one thing you could consider is rowing an anchor out amidships and hauling yourself off the wall.
Hope the damage is minor and easily fixable, although if the rudder is shagged I guess you are going to need a lift-out at least.

Hi Huggy,
Sorry to hear you've had a bit of a doing, but it's only metal and you'll sort it out. As the builder of Joshua apparently said, "Man is always stronger."
You're on a steep learning curve. Many of us on here are also largely self-taught sailors but we're not doing it on a trip to the other side of the world!
Keep up the good work.
Dave

Re: Huggy's Latest
hi guys. thanks for all the positve comments on my vids, i'm glad most of you are enjoying them. nick, i am allways open to help and advice but i couldnt row an anchor out because little jessy is a lightweight folding boat and it would have been too dangerouse in 46+ knots of wind i did try throwing my heavy fishermans but couldnt get it far enough. i also tried to throw my lightweight fortress type anchor but lucky me managed to land it bang in the middle of a moutain bike. (i have that on vid btw) i then had to cut that free. once again. thanks guys. huggy.

I'm still recovering from you being "bonjoured out" in the French canal and losing the dog - cried with laughter to the point of hurting myself!

Just been watching Mac 23 -27. Being bounced off that harbour wall in 40-50 knots was painful to watch. Hope the damage is superficial and that you get her looking great again.
Good luck!
