Don’t confuse oranges and applesSo_Sage_of_Lorne wrote: I prefer to call my Spade a Spade!

The same comparison applies between the RAYA anchor and the Spade, they are both anchors, but here stop the comparison.

They are many differences between both models and as I don’t want to make a sales speech here, I will only list a few :
- If, for example, you compare the 30 kg SPADE (model S 1400), it has a blade surface area (holding) of 1400 sq cm
- The 30 kg RAYA (model RAYA 2000) has a blade surface area of (only) 2000 sq cm or 43% more

This means that for the same weight, you will have a much more efficient anchor – or for the same efficiency, you could have a much lighter anchor (18 kg)

Not talking about the price difference!

May I suggest you to make a thorough comparison between the two models before making hasty conclusions…?

Just as a matter of interest, how does the ROCNA compare?Ancora Latina wrote:- If, for example, you compare the 30 kg SPADE (model S 1400), it has a blade surface area (holding) of 1400 sq cm

Hylas,
Is this you?
Have you fallen out with the Spade brand and launched out with this new anchor?
I think you should come clean.

The Rocna 30 (30 kg) as a blade surface area of 1590 sq cm, still 26% less than the RAYA!...Shard wrote:Just as a matter of interest, how does the ROCNA compare?Ancora Latina wrote:- 30 kg SPADE (model S 1400), blade surface area (holding) of 1400 sq cm
