Well that depend when the polishing was required. I could be available from 25th to 27th for a wee bit o' polishing after Tobers party.

It appears that she is.

On the subject of boat beautification - does anyone have a sturdy sewing machine?

hull polishin

hazard to shipping is going off on jollies - banff to stravangar then largs to cork - council workers get far too many holidays in my opinion and they should have to remain in the country for the duration! :) :) :)

Banff to Stravanger

See HERE for more info on Hazard to Shipping' s jaunt from Banff.

BTW - I went to secondary school in Banff though I don't suppose that is particularily relevant.

H to S - which yacht are you aboard?

Hazard to shipping en route to Stavanger

Post by hazard to shipping »

I don't know the name of the boat but it is a Nicholson 30. It is all a bit last minute - the owner has gone offshore for a week so will meet up next friday to move the boat up to Macduff. A weekend of races and socialising in Banff and Macduff and then off on the 26th.
Ooh I'm a bit excited!!

Looking at the entrants list on the website, I would guess that it is

Frank Watt .... Blue Pegasus .... Nicholson 30 ....Banff Sailing Club

Where about in the NE are you based?

Have they developed Banff harbour yet? It's a while since I've been there - I know that Whitehills now have a lot of facilities for the leisure sailer.

Enjoy

Banff Marina

Post by hazard to shipping »

Hi Ash
As far as I am aware Banff marina improvements were started early this year. Dredging had begun to make way for the floating pontoons, but I don't know when it will be ready. I am based out of Stonehaven but live in the Mearns.
