She would have been on her way to the jet wash and the hoist is an 18 ton lift. Silkie is initially tender in fact due to the hull shape but ultimately stiff thanks to the 43% ballast ratio. The keel does give a good grip on the water.Clyde_Wanderer wrote:Very clean, was she jet washed before pics?
That is a weird contraption of a hoist, not the 75 tonner I am used to.
Silkie looks as if she is a very stiff boat, judging by her long keel.
The hoist at Ardlui is an older model ( ex Ardrossan IIRC ) and so, like the trailer at Dunstaffnage, the ends of the strops can't be moved independantly.claymore wrote:Bit of a list to Starboard?
