probably developed quite a bit since then, upgrade and improve.

They made several significant mods to GMIV in the recent rebuild, so if they can happily change a boat of significant historic importance then I would say it's your boat, do what you want with it.

keep it for a couple of months and then you'll be able to trade it in for a dozen half finished Bavarias!
