Hi Charlie

.
Very well thanks Charlie, how is Jonner?

We now have 19 upfront payments . . . as the price is based on an order of 50 we are going to take a big financial hit so if the rest of you who have said they definitely want one could possibly forward the dosh by cheque or paypal it would be very helpful.

Payed

I payed via Paypal a few days ago, but it's not a system I really trust. Did you get it?

In fact, rather than just answering me, why not post a list of all whose payments have reached you then we can all check?

11 paypal 10 cheques one not signed . . . no cheques will be banked until the order is placed.

I have emailed Stu Fried of Prestige Flags saying I am ready to order and asking for payment method etc but heard nothing, even though he has phoned me twice and emailed me a few times.

Pound has of course plummeted against the dollar, so in addition to having to hold 3/5 of the order in stock I am now going to lose out on every flag. Am hoping to order soon before the pound becomes utterly worthless, but need to hear from Prestige first. Have just emailed them again.

Hi Nick

re. the plummeting pound

I have heard of fuel surcharges and whilst not wishing to be accused of being a turkey voting for Christmas...................... I would be willing to consider a burgee surcharge

It'll be another week . . .

The man from del monte has emailed me to say he is out of town next week so it will be another week - we will see where the dollar is then.

Any surcharges will be purely voluntary - I will let everyone know how much each burgee has cost me when I know. Any and all orders at the existing price will be honoured, but those wishing to send the difference will be well thought of.

I were t'numpty who didn't sign cheque. Guilt has compelled me to now order two so I can hand one over to Scots exile down here. When the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports next inspects his fleet there will be 2 Blue Moment burgees in attendance to give him a diplomatic nod.

We have all been made aware of the situation Nick, so it would be proper for us all to make up any shortfall.
I am prepared to stump up whatever differencees you are due from me.
I would like to think that anyone who has placed an order will agree.

Put me down as one in favour.
We can't change the direction of the wind, but we can adjust our sails.

I'll do the sums once the order arrives and let you all know, but no-one is actually going to get a bill or anything, any shortfall making up will be purely voluntary.
