Piel Island

Post by Daveanmucker »

I was doing a job on a friends boat in Fleetwood t'other day. And I noticed a sign that invited yachts to go to a gathering to witness the crowning of the King of Piel.

Now as the King of Piel is the landlord of the pub on Piel I wondered if the pub has re-opened.

Does anyone know owt about this.

Talking to a chap from Barrow last week-end, in Lanzarote, 20C I wish I was still there. Anyway he informed me that the pub was re-opened and the new King had been installed. So hey ho looks like pi@@ed trips in the dingy back to the boat will be on the agenda again this summer.

Aye your in fer a good night, went with friends who have a boat at Fleetwood and we had a grand time. Seems to be more people venturing across from Barrow when t tide is low, had a good crack. Landlord seems an OK guy.
