Sell the house (consultation not required) and then offer an HR as a cracking alternative to a cardboard box. Depreciation is lower and it's (marginally) less damp.

Shuggy's getting there;

retire now, flog (or rent out the house), move to Denmark to carry out your grandfatherly duties, keep Claymore in Scotland. Forget about the Hallberg....

Hmmmm

If boats didn't feature then it definitely wasn't a NO

So obviously time for action

Be bold adopt the fait accompli approach

You only live once....................

Its just a question of how long
Be reasonable? I didn't get where I am today by being reasonable.

I feel guilty that I may have let you down. I had to work on the derig ( work is a blimey ) so couldn't continue with the advice.

Does DH peruse these fora, by any chance?

Did you manage to take notes during her presentation on your future? or will DH follow up the meeting with a written confirmation?

Mr & Mrs Claymore cause Credit Crunch.

HR lay off staff after plan of possible purchase lies in tatters.

Icesave go bust after Mr Claymore withdraws his ISA.

The end of the credit crunch is in sight. The Scottish Second-hand Boat Sale is this weekend & I'm on my way from Yorkshire with my half jar of pennies and dubloons.

There are certainly plenty of boats in the sale at Kip, including the HR36 I mentioned previously. If you stray the wrong side of the main walkway, BBH is definatly not for sale but you could stop by and say hello:)
I will not stay young forever but, I can be immature for the rest of my day's!
