Re: Tarbert music festival?
The Tarbert Loch Fyne Music Festival takes place in the small Scottish town of Tarbert from 19th - 21st September at a variety of venues over the weekend, the main event being in the Marquee on the Quay on Saturday night (admission, £5 on entrance).Clyde_Wanderer wrote:Anyone know the dates for the above event this year?

I'll pencil this in my diary. Depends on the weather though.

Music Festival
Rumour has it that the preparation work for the new pontoons begins this week. This could make obtaining a berth for the music festival even more interesting than usual. I am tempted to berth in Portavadie and catch the ferry.

If there were enough who would commit, it might be worth asking Robert at Portavadie if they would consider running their RIB as a late ferry.Booby Trapper wrote:Good idea but do you know if there are extra ferries on as the last one from Tarbert to Portavadie is at 1815hrs.

Just got back from a long weekend in Tarbert discussing new boats, viewing Scottish Moorings and catching up with Ash and Joan (more posts on this later). I can confirm that the preliminary work to drop the first piles starts in the coming week - weather permitting. The plans are posted on the side of the Toilet Block. This will see the older pontoon moved further out as the first phase. Yes - it's going to start the same time as the world-famous Tarbert Music Festival However I would call the Harbourmaster to get the latest news on moorings
