Rename this forum??

Post by jim.r »

Blue is associated with sadness, moment with inertia so Bluemoment conjures up associations with depressing idleness. Can't we rename it to something associated with happiness and gaeity? LIke Pinkminute or sumfink?

Hmmmm . . .

.
Pink is associated with girly things and minute is associated with junk food and nuclear war, so not really a good idea IMO . . .

What about AzureEon ?

Is THIS your site BTW Jim? If not it looks as though someone has trademarked your handle . . .

(The Jimiâ„¢ wallet is a compact, colorful, and water resistant answer to the stodgy outdated leather wallet)

I thought that was the Boys Brigade Hymn - "Will your anchor hold . . . etc"

I suppose it's not PC to be the "Boys Brigade" any more, same as Boy Scouts, Girl Guides etc.

Just what has happened to all these fine organisations of our yoof :?: :?:

PC Police gone mad, no doubt :!:

If you call it Pink Minute I'm off.

Imagine SWMBO asks what your doing and you answer looking at Pink Minute.

I don't think so.

Still trying to work out the link with junk food and nuclear war

Not too sure about junk food (or the War Cry for that matter) but am reasonably confident that the nuclear war connection is via the Minuteman missile.

Oh

Never thought of Minuteman.

Though it does provoke the thought - where does that leave Bluemoment when viewed in the light of Blue Steel.

Or Blue Streak for that matter

Well as a long established purchaser while pished of religous tracts from pushers in pubs (and doesn't that display a certain hypocracy?) I would personally favour the Young Soldier over The Warcry...
