Re: Amazon Kindle

Fair enough. You want to be able to read a book. I want to be able to do much more (and an i.pad can cost only a very small amount more, about £300 to be precise, hardly worth a second thought really). Horses for courses then. Thanks for your link to buy an i'pod. Bit late, I bought mine a couple of...

Re: Amazon Kindle

Why do you think I'm wrong? My logic is simple. Kindle only provides one function. Exactly that function is to be had on an i.pad., but, for a few quid more, the i.pad gives you hundreds of extra functions. So, when travelling or living aboard, with an i.pad all your needs are covered in one piece o...

Re: Amazon Kindle

The problem with the Kindle is its a one-trick pony and heading for the great recycle bin in the sky. Why/ Well for only a few quid more you can buy an i.pad....which can do so, so much more. Not only read books off it but also watch films, play games, surf the net, email, word process etc .... and ...

Less than £150 and you can't afford it !!!
Cripes!
Take it out of petty cash and put it down as an essential business expense. Easily justifiable to your C.A. given the business you're in.
Solved.
You're welcome.

Re: I wish that big low would hurry up and disappear . . .

. Thursday 8th July 2010-06-19 It got very gusty, then we were hit by one gust that must have been well over forty and maybe fifty knots. The boat took off, reaching 8.3 knots before I managed to furl the genoa down to about a no.3 jib. This was still plenty in the gusts, when we were reaching over...

. It's so quiet in here that I have been reduced to making the odd non-controversial post in another place. So far today I have been told I have 'stupid knee jerk reactions', been called a dimwit, an 'awful prig', told I should not dare to pontificate, been offered a free flight to Mogadishu by two...
