Re: Not my business....
Seems such a waste of a pretty looking small/wee boat. Probably an equally sad tale to go with her condition and demise. When things all went tits up, a few years back, i contemplated giving my craft away to someone who could 1) use it 2)lavish care on her. It turned out to be a legal nightmare, and...

Re: Just delivered a Comet 28 from Treguier to Lisbon final part
The next installment: The morning brought blue skies and a loverly NE breeze so we decided upon 1 hour watches until later and suck and see after the previous days excitement, clearing up the mess and general duties resumed and along she flew main and genny SOG of 7/8knots in around 14knots of wind....

Re: Just delivered a Comet 28 from Treguier to Lisbon
Here I go again! With the sum total of 4 hours sleep, Skipper dragged me to lunch, still feeling the night before and generally knackered with the constant battering and anxiety of the night before. We checked the type serial number and availability of new primary fuel filter and on chandlers asked ...

Re: Just delivered a Comet 28 from Treguier to Lisbon part 2
We settled into a good rhythm on a watch system going and cleared the ras de Seine entrance buoy and basically headed 235 degrees towards Spain, giving us the option of La Corunna or bypassing straight to Camarinaze Marina Spanish town Muros. We motored for approx 10 hours with the main on its first...

Re: Just delivered a Comet 28 from Treguier to Lisbon
Well, the story begins ! I was sat on my venerable, and slowly being bought back up to scratch, Macwester 28 in my home berth at Port du Plaisance Treguier. After finally having enough Gordon`s Britain and moved aboard permanently, when out of the river appears a large blue yacht heading straight ac...

Re: Going down the trousers . . .
Then make sure you call in at Treguier, for a while, i shall still be refitting to go in mid may. But then there is always the curse of Brittany where life slows to a pace that without a deadline nought gets done apart from rest and recouperation :) Then meandering round to Gulf du Moribahn, Quibero...

Re: Gulf du Moribhan
Sounds very nearly exactly what i am looking for, and knowing France well not too much will have changed. I am taking 2 13 1/2 twin girls, and a 19 year old with his own totty, therefore should be enough to cater for all, the area struck me a good one for the "inland" sailing as don't want...
