Which chart plotter...
I know this is a question with a beard, but had looked through internet offers and I'm totally confused now... Im looking for a chartplotter that's got AIS support, displays depth (with transducer included or easy to get and connect) and anchor drag alarm. Looked at garmin 500 series or standard hor...

Re: unusual keel
picture is a bit misleading actually.
She's fast cruiser with pretty regular cockpit and large large accommodation space (old 80' Pacesetter 28). Normally regular fin - in this case tandem. Spoke to the owner and he thinks someone has modified her for racing...

Boat wanted :)
I just purchased the boat, but as certain flaw showed up that was a contract breaker, I'm back in the market looking for one :) Looking for GRP 25'+, fin (or tall, inverted 'V' bilge) , with self draining cockpit, reasonable condition in and out, with inboard diesel. Year not too important, as long ...

Re: unusual keel
He hasn't got much of an idea what she is. He inherited the boat after his uncle, and not sailed her, and not planning to. He says she may be a racer. Pretty young boat, with no interior fitted - so he may be right. A bit difficult to moor her too, soft mud i've got available, which most fins would ...

Re: unusual keel
I've checked - plenty of good reviews. This particular one however looks a bit fragile to me... Very tall rudder, with no bottom support, keel itself seems pretty thin, like it was about to break itself off at first wave :) Im after fast cruising boat but safety and reliability is my main concern he...

unusual keel
Hi there. Today I found certain boat I may be interested in. This keel however freaks me out a bit, as Im far from being expert at boat designs.. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/tarsus4x4/general/th_027.jpg http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/tarsus4x4/general/th_024.jpg She's 28ft, and Im l...

Re: non self-draining cockpit
Dont think I'd be able to fit cockpit drains ... as the floor is on similar level as waterline... It's Medusa 25... and Maurice Griffiths was supposed to be great designer :D And how about larger waves? Usually cockpit drains can handle all the splashes, but in this case I'm wondering if while saili...

non self-draining cockpit
Hi. I'm currently at the process of choosing a boat. Found one I like but there is an issue, which I think may be a bit serious. There is no self-draining in the cockpit. whole cockpit floor can be popped up to get access to the propeller shaft, gearbox etc. All water from the cockpit goes directly ...

Medusa 25
Does anyone has any knowledge about Medusa 25? We were trying to find something on the Internet but there's hardly anything there. Do you know where we could find something? Books or other source?

RYA training
Hello everyone :) Me and my husband have bought recently a Medusa 25 and we want do RYA courses now. My husband has 10 years sailing experience, but only in Poland on lakes. We are planning to sail at sea as well. Does he have to do Day Skipper course first or can he do Coastal Skipper straight away...
