The Lysblink Seaways was en route from Belfast to Norway. The MCA has tasked the Orkney ETV.

I think if he was planning to salute the good people of Kilchoan he should still have turned to port (and probably picked a better time than 01.50).

No, not sure at all. I thought I'd read Belfast somewhere in an earlier report but just checked and in fact it said Liverpool..

"During the night, the large tug Luca arrived from Norway. It is understood that, once the salvage master is sure that she's safe for it, the Luca will tow the Lysblink Seaways to Liverpool for repairs".

AIS reports Lysblink Seaways and Luca both alongside at Greenock. Shows you shouldn't believe everything you read/hear.

AIS status shows as 'stopped' - they haven't quite admitted to being 'aground' yet..
