I was in a hotel in The Snecky on Tuesday and the Lithuanian waiter asked the Swiss couple next to us if they were speaking Gaelic - I'm pretty sure that was the first time I've ever heard a Swiss person laugh.
I suppose for a small country ( which isn't in the United States of Europe ) it has given the world a lot: tobelerone, swatches, cuckoo clocks, William Tell, yodelling and money laundering. Not to shabby.

Well, they aren't in the European Economic Area so there's a good start.
