£50 for a night in Greenock is intriguing. (bertholders = free) Must be the most expensive marina on the Clyde.

be fair - the £50 does include 4 x £5 tickets for the " homecoming party ".
£30 berthing for your 23 footer in sunny Greenock - still a bargain

Looks as though you could do the whole event, and get 3 nights berthing plus £20 worth of tickets for £100 so gets better and better.

Don't know if there is a limit on length.

I wonder where they'll park 250 boats in Glasgow - haven't read the whole site yet - I expect it would tell me.

Plus, how much would it cost for hotel rooms in the centre of Glasgow during the Games?

The Pacific Quay next to the science centre ia a very large dock basin which can easily accomodate a large number of yachts including vessels of large size. To continue upriver from there is only suitable for motor boats, even then perhaps not suitable for those of high bridge deck height unless at low tide. I see from the RYA programme of perhaps visiting our wee boatyard at Dalmarnock where any visitors will be made most welcome, unfortunately the tide (Tidal weir HW) is only suitable for this venture to take place at night (after dark). A pleasant wee trip during daylight hours but methinks not to be done during darkness.The Trolls (Old or otherwise may get you).

We have had an email from the WOA Scottish area who are planning a little flotilla to join in.

Only the £100 entry was mentioned though.

No access to the river without a battle flag though, I didn't know they could do that.

The neccessity of a battle flag could become evident in certain parts of the city.

It doesn't rain in the pubs in Denmark, I know this 'cos I researched the subject thouroughly when I was working there.

the only thing I can recall costing anything like 50 quid in Glasgow was in fishnet tights and lipstick applied by an antifoul brush. Being dry, her mascara was intact and, if it could hold great folds of follicles, skin etc in place, then it might be a useful mastic to augment the cracks in my (supposedly) fekking useless sandbag wall I have just built (to see the postman leaping ower it and some orra that siller he made oot orra hus shares fa' oot his pocket). I'm told sandbags are uselss by some effing prof/poof in a 2 bit poly.
