Thanks guys. Went for a nice Italian meal in Ayr and found myself opposite a guitar shop. Say no more!
Off to Troon now to replace all the old gas pipe I ripped out, no date on the old stuff, could have been there since '78 I assume.

The official present was a wee Fuji finepix as we are going to the dark continent later in the year, but I really felt I needed a new janglebox, - the one I bought for a fiver in 1964 was beginning to show signs of distress. The shop was opposite the birthday lunch restaurant and I was seduced while the captain was otherwise occupied in Matalan or somewhere.
The incident concerning the rubber tube concluded with a general feeling of warmth and wellbeing throughout.

Whilst all Birthdays are significant once one gets beyond 52, is this a birthday of more significance than most, Sweet William?

They keep mentioning soixante-neuf, but nothing's happening.
