In Academia they take a dim view of work which is proven to have been 'borrowed' or more accurately is submitted without reference to the original author.
A range of penalties might be awarded any unfortunate deemed to have commited this grave practice

Should such penalties be considered proper for this forum and if so, what penalties might be considered appropriate?
