Being somewhat pedantic (what on here!?) I don't find any mythical creatures (including anyone's gods) at all threatening. Their followers however are different kettle of fish, & many of them frighten me considerably!

On a sailing trip to Bangor twenty years ago I had the dubious pleasure of seeing Ian Paisley bawling and ranting on the steps of Belfast Town Hall (he was preaching, apparently) surrounded by a phalanx of tough thugs in ill-fitting suits and sunglasses. It remains the most threatening behaviour I have ever seen.

Thank you for that one, I shall add it to my favourites. I am a great admirer of Ghandi.
