Stoddarts of Oban

An unabashed plug for Stoddarts of Oban.
Maybe I've just been lucky but in my experience businesses tend to make their own luck in much the same way that people do. I once went in seeking a prop for an outboard well into the latter half of it's second decade and without measurable pause for thought Jimmy plucked the correct part from a slightly dusty upper shelf. Anodes, kill switches and best quality two-stroke oil are also always available with a smile and a joke.
On Friday they sorted the recently-much-abused and venerable Yamaha (after I walked in unannounced with it tucked under my arm) for a relatively reasonable sum - it is for a boat after all.
The only time they haven't been able to satisfy my needs (a UNC nut) they directed me to a man not 50 yards distant who not only had one but wouldn't take any money for it.
Also you meet a nicer class of customer there. Hi Chris & Ruth.
[No connection except as a very happy customer.]
