Started first time after filters fitted and oil change - I usually spend ages bleeding the bleeder.
Eberspacher would not kick in but I suspect my batteries not putting enough out. (I hope!)
Mast up on 7th
Launch on April 5th.
Coordinates for mooring now received.
Taking the Hippo to NW Marine a week on Monday - could be in the hoos of the troos or somewhere on the Sunday evening -
anyone taking drink?

Unfortunately I'm working that weekend but suspect there's a reasonable chance of the Webcraft Corporation fielding a team for Archie's Sunday Post quiz.

Be advised that there are no evening meals at the T&T at this time of year and closing time is 8pm. We will be there from 6pm, or earlier if you're buying, Claymore.

Only early closing Sunday, Monday, Tuesday probably till clocks change

'Fraid not. I'm currently in Switzerland and that Sunday I should be in France.

Coire na Ciste is the bit of the Cairngorm ski development where the chairlifts are currently unused and abandoned. It has a car park from which it used to be possible to access said lifts, but now you get to queue for a bus up to the (full) Coire Cas car park. There you can queue again for a ticket in the much reduced ticket selling facility...

And folk wonder why so many of us now ski abroad.

Let me see... shitty short runs in wet,windy murky,icy conditions at lift pass prices that bare no relation to the appalling uplift and all day on the hill fuelled by miserable over priced crappy food in a damp and bogging cafe.

Or miles of piste carved down proper SNOW covered mountains in sunshine with good food , coffee, wine and beer and lift pass prices the same as Scotland.

Come to think of it, why did I ever bother to spend all those years living out in the alps when I could have moved to Aviemore?

So when I went skiing with school in the '70s, Corrie na Ciste was the turning off to the left that we never went to as we carried on to the bottom car park at Corrie Cas.

The chair lifts were chairs then, and stopped now and then, usually in a blizard. It was not easy to light a fag or keep it going swaying about wondering how long it would be before the thing got going again.

I was in Aviemore that day - to think we might have bumped into one another!
