Meatballs, how many do you think?

I've just opened a pack of 12 meatballs from ASDA, it says feeds 4.

When I picked them up I thought that 4 each, there are 3 of us, may look a bit lonely on the plate but we would manage.

It's only just plural if you get 3 each, it certainly wouldn't satisfy my lad who can eat for England. Perhaps Erica and me should give the lad 6 and eat a "normal" portion ourselves, it wouldn't harm the waistline.

The lad isn't a lardy couch potato, he is pretty much as he was when he came out of the Army, if only I could say the same for me.

So, how many would you class as a portion?

In the Big Blue Box a child's portion is 5 and adults can choose 10, 15 or 20 although personally I don't think I could eat another one.

Perhaps I should open the other packet (2 for £4) and throw them in too, would sweet chilly ones mix with Italian style Pork n mozzarella?

I don't feel so bad about Erica and me sharing a pack in the days before the lad came back.

I think just one of those awful things would be a strain on anyone's digestion.

Well - the answer must have overloaded the donkey down at the Cleckhuddersfax power station as we lost power over the whole district for about 15 minutes!

However - following my intervention (worcester sauce, chopped red pepper, two home-grown chillies from the lad, oregano and some lumps of spicy chorizo) it wasn't half bad

As it was all done in one pan a handy boat-based creation!

I have yet to find a packet of anything that sufficiently feeds the stated amount of people
