Oban Bay Marine have announced that the 54 berth transit marina between the piers in Oban bay will be delivered on-time and under the original budget. However, two things still stand in the way of the project - a change in design from the originallly approved plans and a 'small shortfall in cash'.
Changes in the plans include changing the seaward entrance from North to South to give greater protection from Northwesterly winds, and shore access from George Street rather than the South Pier.
At the AGM on Monday night Oban Bay Marine became a Community Interest company, which means it can issue shares.
