Regulars will remember our
photos from Antarctica and
Chilean and Argentine Patagonia from a little while ago.
Following that up is this gallery documenting
Kiwi Roa's last destination in Patagonia, Staten Island, plus a look at the Falklands - online now, follow the link:

After spending several years in Patagonia,
Kiwi Roa has now ventured out into the South Atlantic. Enjoy the desolation and scenery without the frostbite.
South Georgia Island is up next, which will be a biggie. Stay tuned.

Great picture, and what a fabulously sheltered anchorage. Three lines ashore I see - were you expecting a blow, or is that standard practice when using a Rocna?
Seriously, looking forward to Tilmanesque tales from South Georgia - please post more here.

I thought that but resisted the urge to say so.

Three shorelines certainly, and maybe a fourth? Can't be certain, might just be ripples.

Thanks Craig, stunning pics, fabulous light (and air) quality. The squalls in the anchorages (staten and stanley) look pretty serious.

Just bouncing this with an update to our Falklands journal.
Kiwi Roa is still in Stanley and has done a little more cruising around the islands, and a few new photos have been added.
Some old friends, and some new ones, turned up in Stanley this year. All are interesting characters that take the path less sailed. And away from the bright lights of Stanley, the Western Falklands offer a strange and remote wilderness.

David Cameron has similar beliefs to Mrs T concerning sovereignty apparently.

As ever it's crucial not only to claim to be hard, but to deliver the hardness that's claimed. Merely verbally attacking the opposition is not enough - you've got to follow through with appropriate rigidity or things can rapidly get bent out of shape.

I thought it was subtle reference to anchor strength.

Only by a complete fluke, and even then you'd have to twist things a bit.
