Dodging Seaplanes

The wind was blowing nicely down the loch so we goosewinged, initially under jib and full main and later with a reef in the main, at 6.5 knts.
Near Luss we went on to a beam reach to run along the north shoreline of Inchlonaig and minutes later the Glasgow / Oban seaplane appeared fom behind the sails, flying low to make a landing near his house at Culag.
He aborted the landing and looped south, disappearing behind Inchlonaig. Next thing he reappeared and landed across our bows, turned and motored up our port side.
He didn't seem too perturbed as we luffed up towards him as I tried to get photos. He was close enough that he could be seen to be waving ( or maybe shaking his fist!!!)
I was surprised to see him travel such a long way on the floats, especially across the strong wind, but came to the conclusion that he wouldn't want to land into the bigger waves in the exposed area near the house.

PS - The wind changed during the night and we managed to goosewing home again on Monday - less wind but sun so very pleasant.
PPS - There is a small sail boat on a mooring at his house, so someone is into sailing.
