In an idle moment on another forum, I noticed that posters on BlueMoment are described as "bumlickers" (wonder if that will get through the filter...). OK, I know Nick is being cyber-stalked, but what on earth was that all about?

YBW's
Lounge. It just got worse; there's now someone on there going on about who owns BlueMoment, who's the company secretary, what their home address is....... Jeeze.
The post about the company comes from a long-time YBW poster, who I'd have thought would have known better.

I normally just let them get on with it but I must admit I was very tempted to comment when the

called me, and some very nice people who I have actually met, names.

Dan locked the thread with the company info on it, but it is still there so people are still linking to it. I think some of them must have been sniffing petrol.
I have to say I never considered the possibility of 'bumlicker' when setting up the swear filter

I don't know what the issue is there. I know you wind some of them up a bit, but I'd have thought that most of the regulars like jfm would have known years ago that you run BlueMoment. It's hardly been a secret. Seems as crazy as it pointless.....

Looks like the other lynch mob thread has also been pulled now, so there is someone watching . . . not a job I envy.

Goodness, did you have to select the sweary-words individually?
I thought Bowdlerisers came off-the-shelf, mainly from the USA, which is why people from Penistone and Scunthorpe have problems.
I was once trying to get information online about laying a concrete base for a shed and was puzzled by "... a 150 mm layer of
word removed..." until I realised it was hardcore.

The swear filter on here doesn't just replace the words with asterisks . . . the admins can choose what words replace certain terms. It can be amusing on a quiet day

I seem to have missed this, but I think I've been called a bum licker too, or have I called someone else one? And is this front bum or back bum?

Ah, I have that poster on ignore which seems even more sensible reading that, but I see it in your quote.
Meh.
