We are fortunate to be able to draw upon the experience of others. Thus people, who wish to cruise the wind-swept (beautiful) Southern and Western coasts of our Seagirt Isle, may browse over and consult this tenth copy of the Irish Cruising Club's Sailing Directions.

David, the sweet singer of Israel, says in his psalm, "Those who go down to the sea in ships, They shall see the works of the Lord."

He went on about sailors "They roll and stagger like drunken men."

David was a shepherd; So how did he know about the sea? Perhaps he chatted up sailors in pubs.

It's definitely in the lead at the moment and gets my vote anyway.

'Kin 'ell!

He's got guts - taking the piss out of the Bible at 98 years old.

Only heard of him through the Golden Globe - reading the wiki there seems to be an awful lot more to the guy.

Yes. There was a really nice article/interview by Dick Durham (I think) a couple years back in Yachting Monthly. Quite an amazing man.
