Really interesting programme about the men who built the liners. Focussed on Clydeside and tracked that really interesting though sad part of Scottish Shipbuilding in the 70's and the 'right to work' issue that I remember happening. Jimmy Reid and other Union men featured throughout.
I found myself comparing attitudes to those that seem to be around today within the Post Office and British Airways. Naturally in this hotbed of political opinion, I won't develop that statement...

One cracking line - a chap was being interviewed who'd worked in the shipyards and eventually got an office job.

My cracking line from this week was when they were on about the multi-million pound lottery winners, and they were interviewing a scottish woman who won something like £35M a year or so back -

Iterviewer - "What did you think the first time you went into your bank knowing you had all this money?"

Woman - "I don't go to the bank now. The bank comes to ME! !

I like her style !
