Really interesting programme about the men who built the liners. Focussed on Clydeside and tracked that really interesting though sad part of Scottish Shipbuilding in the 70's and the 'right to work' issue that I remember happening. Jimmy Reid and other Union men featured throughout.
I found myself comparing attitudes to those that seem to be around today within the Post Office and British Airways. Naturally in this hotbed of political opinion, I won't develop that statement...
One cracking line - a chap was being interviewed who'd worked in the shipyards and eventually got an office job.
"It wisnae till ah got a job in an office that ah realised they made saft toilet paper"
