For those interested, this is the new water tank that my cousin fabricated last winter - when I get reunited with the camera, I'll send one of the calorifier and the galley which are now looking pretty good

Ooh, very water tankish. Whilst you have the boat and plumbing in pieces you could gettim to make another slightly smaller tank, fill it with hooch and have that plumbed as a separate emergency system, with smalll-guage flexy plastic piping all around and handy smal taps/ outlets in saloon and cabins etc. No need for calorifier with this of course but keel cooling would be a nice touch. I expect quite a lot of Highland-based boats have a similar system already, or if they don't they flippin well should...

Have you still got the original saddle tanks as well? If so- just how profligate with water can one get?
