ISTR a folk song that featured the following lyric snippets:

"they laid him in the old toll booth, Queen Mary was not sorry."
"it may be he lived so well his heart could not support him"
"this night he'll lie in ???????? with no mark on his body"

That is all I can remember of it. Can anyone give me a clue?

All the Irish songs I know are on my 'Best of the Dubliners' album.
The filthy, salty sea and funny songs were picked up round the bar at Severn Sailing Club and several rugby clubs in my formative years. (That's when I learned the importance of respnsible drinking!)

A sing-song with actual instruments being played was a bit of a new experience for me...
