Illness on board

A crewmember recently felt ill on the last day of a cruise. His week prior to feeling under the weather included a delivery trip of around 150nm, a whole bottle of rum, three nights of fish and chips, one night of Bacardi on a mooring buoy (wednesday), the following day a night of beer and whisky until 2am (thursday), then friday a large fried breakfast and a swift day of sailing, about a kilo of fish pie for tea and another night of more beer, rum and whisky until 2am (friday), then on the Saturday another large breakfast followed by a swift sail, almost a gallon of beer and possibly another late night (we can't quite remember what happened on Saturday night?) and then on the Sunday an ultra-giant breakfast and quite a lumpy ride in a sailing boat. However, none of this caused him any malaise whatsoever - he reports that what got him was a cup of tea with a bit of almost-date-out milk in it, and he had to sleep for most of the subsequent 24 hours.

Perhaps it was a bad pint?

I have occasionally had one - usually the ninth or tenth.

It's got to be the milk, either that or life isn't worth living. I can give up tea but eating, drinking and sailing to excess has got to be good for you, hasn't it? :tiphat:
