So that's what happens when it goes pear shaped!

My parents used to keep their Leisure 27 over winter on a carpark at Lakeside many moons ago. The crane that was hired for the day always had the overload bell ringing, it didn't seem to matter which boat it was. Non fell over though, thank goodness.

"A new £20,000 yacht has been crushed....."

"The hydraulic crane fell as it was lowering the Westerly Konsort..."

It's great to read that Westerly are back in business - though they won't last too long of they're selling new yachts at £20K.

Ash... :troll:

Pretty sure there was no slight against Westerly's intended there, only about the editorial.

An new yacht of the calibre of a Westerly Konsort for £20k??? I'll have six! :)

Glad nobody got hurt.

For those who don't know it, Porchester Sailing Club is a really nice place (by southern standards) by Porchester Castle. Very friendly and great food. A mate once mentioned to us that his beer wasn't quite right. (He'd drunk 3/4 of it!) The commodore heard him and went of herself to replace it, and left him the 1/4 of the 'not right' one to finish.

Bit muddy though.
