Sorry to hear of your drive train troubles. Give me a shout if I can be of any help - I'm driving now - so that makes things easier.

Had a run up to Ardlui last weekend and a run through to Port Edgar the weekend before that. Yesterday I went through to Grangemouth to help someone out by driving their brand new 18T truck ( 8 speed 'split' gearbox which was a new experience to me ) into Granton, Edinburgh to load up with kit. Did a bit more physical work than I had intended - pushing and tipping flight cases but chickened out of lifting them up to double stack but feel fine today. Probably driving the truck again this weekend - run up to Carnoustie.

Does the Cruising Club have its own crane? and can you leave the mast up? or will you have to use the Marina Travel Hoist to lift for repairs?

Remember - give me a shout if needed - available during the week - I have a vested interest...

Delighted to hear you're out and about and playing with the big boys again.
As to the club, we crane in and out each year using a hire for one day - 40 or so boats.
Masts are down, but we lower/raise them between two boats, so self-sufficient.
we have a drying grid which is where Sahona is now.
The rope is clear, the rudder is daubed with gel, and hopefully a part is making it's way to Prestwick for tomorrow.
So I think the Scufflebutt will be OK - not sure if the wheelhouse cover will be in service or not....

Been following the saga in t'other place. Glad to see/hear that it wasn't too bad.
