an ironing board should be at least as wide as the width of a gentleman's linen handkerchief.

What is the British Standard width of a Gentlemans linen hanherchief?

Or does the size of the said Gentlemans hooter come into the equasion?

A gentleman would know not to ask such questions.
Surely only a Gentleman's gentleman should know these things? I only know that ironed and folded handkerchiefs are laid out with my apparel every morning and evening.
