Hello,
I’m pleased to announce that I will be running a Sailing Weather School (Part 1) on Saturday 7th February 2009 here in Wombourne. And, I am passing on the reduced VAT rate (and more) so the cost of the full day is only £115.
Places do fill up quickly, and I already have a few people on the reserve list, so if you want to come along please book quickly.
The School is tutored by myself (Simon Keeling), and is friendly and informal. Whatever your sailing experience, and whatever you sail this course is for you. My aim is to take you beyond the test structure of the RYA and bring the fascinating subject of weather alive. I want to get you thinking weather as a forecaster does, and help you make better informed weather decisions, and get more enjoyment from your sailing.
This day syllabus covers course covers topics such as:
• Atmospheric circulation
• Workings of the atmosphere
• Local wind prediction
• Frontal systems – why they form and how to predict their movement
• High and low pressure systems
• Forecasting winds from the clouds
• Using weather charts
• Predicting sailing weather hazards
The course costs £115 (inc. VAT) and that includes a buffet lunch, and other refreshments throughout the day.
You can find out more information by visiting http://www.weatherschool.co.uk or why not book online now by going to
http://www.weatherweb.net/weatherschool ... age521.htm or you can call me to book your place and pay by cheque.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Look forward to seeing you in February.
Best wishes,
Simon
