Drink will be taken somewhere on June 29th. I shall have advanced a year the day before.
How small a round can I get away with?
Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday when it comes! Shame you don't live in Scotland as you'd get all those free bus trips.
You going to be afloat that weekend?

. . . I think a drink for every year on this planet should suffice. Any particular hostelry in mind?

ooh. This sounds good. I make that in excess of two hundred drinks already. Better make it at a pub with a lot of glasses.

How many drinks is it acceptable for each person to order when a 'birthday boy' is ordering a round? I can probably do about 20 pints if push comes to shove. Double that if it's weak stuff
20 pints won't be enough, unless claysie is only 20, which i am prety sure he isn't. You'll have to drink halves, or stay several days for the lockin.
I personally think it would be cheaper for claysie to buy a pub outright at this rate of take-up.

That's another great idea.
He usually acts as if he owns the place anyway.

Claysie, me old dressing gown, another year closer to aimlessly shuffling around in your slippers.
How is Dear Heart going to cope with the reduced stimulation? I fear the unfortunate women might have to seek alternative companionship.

Please accept all the best in absentia. If things go to plan we should be in the vicinity of Stromness on the 29th.

I'll offer to have TCM and DaveS's drinks if the 'biggest round' is in jeopardy.

Isn't the internet wonderful. The things you learn...
Sadly, I'm working too but if it helps to make up the numbers you can put one in the pump for me.

I'll be thinking of you.
Happy Birthday

One would wish to take this opportunity to wish Claymore
A Very Happy Birthday
One still has the pleasant memory of meeting the man himself in a chandlery, and if Tim hadn't been aboard the old Rustler, then one would have been tempted to invite C for a G&T.
If one can find enough swinging room in Puilladobhrain (Tim tends to lay a lot of scope) one may join you all in the Hoose o' Troosers.
