Webmeister's summer cruise

Had a call at teatime from
Fairwinds in Tobermory. Having left Tobers earlier in the day and spent 4 hours beating to Ardnamurchan Point in a fresh breeze they found themselves cold wet and miserable, and with no hope of arriving anywhere at any sensible time, turned back for the fleshpots again.
Finding the pontoon full was the icing on the cake and some kind of mutiny seemed to be in progress with the first mate blowing up the dinghy and rolling shot on deck.
Just another Scottish summer cruise then.

Summer cruise - North Sea style
Day 1 - Waves breaking over Nth Breakwater - occasional periods of heavy rain seperated by periods of very heavy rain.
Day 2 - Waves ditto
Rain ditto
Day 3 - Waves ditto
Rain heavier with a few of even heavier still periods
Day 4 - Waves ditto
Rain stopped -
Went to sea - but but got call from daughter at home - have to do some work tomorrow so thats the end of that.
I sometimes think I'll take up train spotting.

Depart Hull docks for Rotterdam 18:00 today.
Decent Westerlies forecast so a following breeze. Never happens around Ardnamurchan.
Will this make the Promenade Deck untenable and will Dear Heart and I have to spend the entire evening in the Piano Bar?

Tues, up at 0400, 09.30 arrive at Paris arsenal. Cloudy , warm.
Wed, hungover, off upriver to wherever. ditto thurs. ditto fri. ditto sat. ditto sun. ditto mon. Tue train back down river to Paris. home wed 0015.
Crackin' or what?

Just round the corner, they do this on Sunday.
And this is one of the beavers we got all excited about, after having heard about them from a boat that was a couple of days ahead of us...
However.....Mr Darwin seems to have been visiting and decided they don't need those wide tails any more. So who'se going to spill the beans to the girls??? I think it should be Basil Faulty.
