Aren't current standards of education just absolutely awful? I've received an awkwardly worded security notice from the Halifax, and was most surprised to see that that they'd spelt centre as "center".

When I sent them all my updated bank details and current security passwords, I also added, in the comments box, that they really should make certain that their web people have a working knowledge of the English language, its punctuation, and spelling.

On reflection, I wonder if that was wise. After all, their web people may not be responsible for the web content. I do hope that I haven't hurt anyone's feelings.

Are you sure it was from the Halifax?
I don't think I would have sent anyone my account details along with my passwords.

Now that you mention it.
I'll put it down to the clocks change and my body being out of kilter.

I agree. Some people don't even know that the watershed for April Fool gags is MIDDAY...

My kids have been delighted by the flying penguins on BBC1 Breakfast this morning.
However, they seemed sceptical of the ice-racing greyhounds in the Sun today.
Not that I buy the Sun, of course, it was also shown on the TV.
