The Lord of the Isles is now under new ownership!

Hopefully we will soon have one decent pub on the peninsula

Hurrah!

Any news on when it will open?

The boat will be out the water for DIY jobs this winter, hence local sustenance will be appreciated.

Allegedly it is now owned by the marinas new owners.

As for when it opens, I wouldn’t hold your breath as obtaining a licence, staff and stock plus getting everything working again could take some time.

Breaking News!!

We are delighted to confirm that The Lord of The Isles has been bought by The Norton family. The Lord is now part of The Marina, which is fantastic news for locals, self-catering businesses and of course all you sailors out there.

We made the difficult decision in October 23 to close the pub and appreciate that a dry Marina has not been great for visitors, but we are confident that the changes and new blood at Craobh Marina will bring only great things!

Craobh and Lunga have been a big part of our life, we have made good friends and could write a book on the many characters who have visited and lived/live locally! There have been Weddings, Birthday Parties, New Year Shenanigans, Family Get Togethers, Life Celebrations and many memorable WHYW weekends and Events.

Thank you all for your custom, support and friendship over the past 18 years and for all the memories.

ATB Les, Meg and the family

I was told earlier this summer that the new CH owners (the Norton family) had their architects visit and survey the LOTI and that they're likely to re-configure the interior. So as already mentioned, probably not a quick re-opening
one of my sons met the existing owners and was chatting to them. They said that their intention was to sell it as a pub and not to sell it for a change of use (housing/flats/air b-n-b) even if that would have got them an earlier sale and more money for it, so good on them
Craobh has had its ups and downs over the years so hopefully all is good and its now on the up
