Is it time to launch?

Marisca's launch is booked for 24th March! I was hopeful that by getting in the water early I could benefit from April sunshine and if the weather was scottish excrement, tant pis. On the path to the water my schedule called for polishing the hull and anti-fouling. I have dutifully slathered the hull in carnauba wax but it is too cold to polish it off, or to be more exact, it is a ridiculous amount of work. My usual sheeps' wool electric polisher hardly touches it, polishing by hand with a heat gun to warm the cloth works better but still needs a lot of elbow grease. Antifoul needs >5C, according to the tin. The long-range GFS forecast shows next Sunday as a possible but Scotland vs Ireland is too much of a distraction but from then until launch day it doesn't look good. Part of the problem is that the boat is luxuriating in the JWD sugar shed which has a noticeable thermal lag - it needs a couple of days to warm up.
Just thought I'd post something to poke this forum. Also, so you guys with their boats outside on the hard can take the piss out of me.

Yes :) Ataraxia is back in on the 20/3. Antifoul is 2 year, so nothing this year. Polishing and cleaning needs another 2 days which should come up next week. I saw someone sailing the clyde 10 or 11 days ago, so it must be time.

The season ahead cannot be worse than last July , wearing every layer I had, including full finger gloves .
