RYA - Retaining Your Freedoms and Protecting Your Interests

I have been a member of the RYA for a long time. I do notice through various forums that the RYA is a love it or hate it type of organisation. My own views of the RYA is that they represent matters that I hold dear: small governance, hands off regulation and allowing the individual the respect to make choices; which is why I support the RYA. You may not want their support and feel that they do not represent you, but the reality is that their representation may influence how you enjoy sailing, freedom of navigation and the right to access the water.
For those who may be interested, the link below takes you to their current stance or position that frames how they react towards matters that impact sailors: -

This next link takes you to the RYA Page where they detail current representation matters and the latest status on various subjects: -

The post is just for information, to put into this domain the work that the RYA does. I have no skin in the game as to whether you like, dislike or don't care about the RYA. Perhaps, the work they do, may be of interest to you.
All the best,
Alastair
