Ah yes Claysie, me ol' radio ham. Life in Retards Bay is treating me well, thank you very much.

Has Dear Heart let you out to play much this winter?

FWIW, the correct term is Voortrekker and if you translate it literally, it means 'front puller', but the Afrikaaners will tell you that it means 'pioneer'.

Over.

The very last thing I want to do is do something correctly. Voortrekker was quite a famous boat but my memory of South African geography - all acquired from text books and the 1974 Victorious Lions Tour there - and Yes, Slattery did touch down and yes it was a clean sweep - they all mention the Veldt. So I decided that you could be a veldtrekker. I thought it rather a good term actually.

Yes quite.

The more I pondered about your linguistic wisdom, the more I veldt that you are perfecdtly correct.

On the other hand, despite it being more than three decades since that astounding series win, have you ever veldt that grasping onto victories of such vintage, is perhaps showing tendencies of being a voortrekker?

I find it very difficult to take a nation seriously who have a full back in their International Rugby team who is called Percy.

Willie-John, Fergus, Phil. Proper names for proper men

Percy! :moon:

That reminds me of an old joke; what do you call a blond that knows nothing about rugby?
