Nothing to do with anchors. We've been out for a week and just dropped the grand weans back with their mum in Oban.

So far the sailcover hadn't been off. Weather forecast for the next few days indicates flat calm. Currently motoring towards Canna.

This might be a diesel cruise.....

Round Mull Race finally got going with a gentle breeze at Fuinary buoy after motoring from Oban on Friday. Saturday the start was moved to Bloody Bay and while some fast boats got to Bunessan the "Slow" fleet ended up sailing south but travelling north with the tide and none finished. Sunday morning had wind and with spinnakers flying off to Iona, a fetch down the Sound and then a beat through the steamer passage and onwards to Frank Lockwood's Island with the wind dropping and finally petering out after Marisca finished.
Scintilla of the Seas from Lochaber won the overall for the 1st day - well done! Marisca won the 2-handed class - I think there may have been 2 boats doing it! The Firth of Lorne was glassy with porpoise visible miles away.

Met Brian from Celtic Spirit in Oban, reported much the same re round Mull.
We're now motoring in 3 knots of wind....
But it's dry warm and the sun's coming out 😁

It was a long way round Mull this weekend. We finished the Tobermory to Bunessan leg but entering Loch Na Lathaich, couldn't see any boats behind.
the start of the third leg was good fun. We watched a masterclass of how to do a letterbox spinnaker drop from Marisca, just before the sound of Iona. V Impressive

The best bit of RMR was the start of the 3rd leg, and until the Torran Cardinal. We ran out of enough wind after that (need 10 knots o get moving in my slow boat).
We had a nice spinnaker run back into the Clyde yesterday, totalling 9 hoists in 7 days!
Tobermory race looks like it might be similar. :(

it's good to be appreciated in one's own lifetime! With only 2 of us on board it had to be good, the alternative was unpalatable but at least the rocks were to windward.
