Nameserver crash

Some of you will have noticed that BlueMoment was down for about 36 hours from some time on Friday afternoon until some time in the early hours of this morning.
This was due to a total meltdown of Webfusion's DNS system, which is handled by 123-reg.
Hundreds or maybe thousands of people will now be transferring their domains away from 123-reg, who are the cause of the problem.
At the moment we have decided not to because I think:
1/ Heads will roll at 123-reg over this and they will be putting new systems and hardware in place to make sure this NEVER happens again.
2/ Natural alternatives like Heart Internet are going to be accepting so many new domain registrations that their systems may be put under extra load.
However, as Pipex has been bought by Tiscali BUT not including Webfusion and 123-Reg we are watching the situation very closely.
All our clients' sites appear to be up again now.
