Ocklepoint, that flag is not a legal ensign and can result in you getting hung for misplaced jingoistic nationalism

Oi . . .

That's it Jim,

You're sacked as BlueMoment's official Newbie greeter . . . might have to give the job to Claymore (represses a shudder)

Welcome Ocklepoint . . . you can fly anything you want here.

Oh dear, more vexicological controversy; a touch of the other place perhaps.

Jingoistic, I think not, nationalistic, not necessarily, perhaps just aware of and comfortable with being a Scot.

Amongst the reams of such stuff regularly trotted out in another place I think I did see a post saying that our pre union flag may still actually be legal.

Anyway, legal or not, I think I may just risk the hanging and continue with the Scots Red, or I may just fly a Saltire.

Anyway, happy boating.

chip shoulder nationalism

the three words above always seem to be associated with many taking the opportunity to destroy bridges rather than build on common ground .. pride in one's heritage and culture is qutie different from a pea brained assertion of national superiority .. all IMHO of course

The Scottish Red Ensign is available from MrFlag.com and a 18"x12" version cost you £15.75. it was used by the merchant fleet in Scotland until 1707 to quote this flag company "it is still used unofficially on the water by private citizens" whether you are breaking some minor rule I would'nt have the foggyist and if you are the rule probably came from Brussels.
