You have all been issued ranks now depending on the number of posts.
Midshipman - min 1 post
Able Seaman - min 10 posts
Master Mariner - min 100 posts
Old Salt - min 250 posts
If you don't like then these suggestions for an alternative ranking system will be appraised by the committee and almost certainly rejected . . .
Need suggestions for 1000+ post rank . . .
Top posters are:
Silkie 949
Nick 891
claymore 361
ash 231
Shard 226
DaveS 147
little boy blue 142
Aja 136

Fourth - but third is half a lap ahead.
Shard and I have a fairly even start handicap time - See Joined Date
1 Silkie Bonnie Scotland 05 Mar 2005 949
2 Nick Oban. Scotland 12 May 2002 892
3 claymore Loch Melfort 19 Oct 2003 361
4 ash Loch Lomond, Scotland 01 Mar 2005 231
5 Shard Bampotterie-sur-mer 05 Jan 2005 226
Maybe some tactical tacking required - if I reply to all of Shard's posts then I can stay ahead, and the competition may draw us nearer to Claymore.
Do you get a certificate for
Master Mariner, and is it better than the RYA Dazed Kipper?
Ash
BTW - Looking at the
Joined Date yon Silkie must be a real blether - Or does all those Deleted Spammers count towards his count?

One thought that one should pop in and say Hi, and check that Auld Nick has not deleted one as a spammer.
One notes that prior to this post, one just makes it on to the first page at no 50.
One also notes that that that lovely man, Silkie, is at the top of the list. It would seem that he is too busy to fulfil an old promise.
I shall scan a photograph I treasure of our memorable meeting.
Broken Promise

Daddy is an
Admiral of the Fleet - something along that line - perhaps.
One must send one's belated congratulations to Kathy and Nick on completing their epic voyage. Did you find any new territory that could be added to the commonwealth?
Thanks YRH

.
Ta muchly Ma'am . . . your suggestion for the 1000 posts rank has been taken on board, run up the flagpole and duly saluted.
Let's just hope your Daddy isn't too miffed when Admiral Silkie pulls up beside him in a hundred or so posts . . . .
You need to get posting yourself Ma'm if you don't mind me saying so . . . can't have you remaining a Midshipgal much longer, eh?
Took my eye off the competition

I see that I've been overtaken, but of course Shard would have known that was going to happen, with his second sight and all.
I would assume that the second sight doesn't extend to the lottery numbers - we could talk percentages maybe.

I think that you've already lapped 4th and 5th a couple of times.
This post should put me back neck and neck with
Shard, with or without his pet sheep.
I'll need to look and see what Nick's ranking makes of equal numbers of posts.

Claysie . . .
