She posted 16 entries on her first day!

"A student at the International Yacht Restoration School building a wooden Beetle Cat, employed at Narragansett Shipwrights working on a cold molded pintail & restoration of several Herreshoffs... this summer i'll be crewing aboard the "J" boat Sound Runner in several regattas... with me, it's always an adventure, so hold on tight!"

I didn't really imagine you were a speed typing freak amongst all your other achievements!

Anyway, welcome aboard YotBlog - I have really enjoyed reading your accounts of taking on the old school of boatbuilding and beating them at their own game.

What are your plans? Are you going to build your own dream ship and set sail for far horizons at some point, or are you just looking forward to a career in boatbuilding?

I must be going blind...

... (Mother said it would happen) but when I click on the Seamaiden link I don't see any entries, far less 16. Where am I going wrong?

Dave

Hmmmmm . . .

Yes Dave, you are right - nothing there.

It would appear that SeaMaiden has removed all her entries . . . perhaps my interest or the possibility of publicity was unwelcome, or maybe she is editing them all . . .

Most peculiar. Either all will be revealed or this will remain a mystery of the cyberdeep. Anyway, to those of you who missed it these blog entries were a treat to read during their short flowering.

Please repost the entries, SeaMaiden, or at least let us know why you have removed them . . .

Sorry about that . . .

Sorry Gigi . . .

I kind of assumed you wouldn't mind people knowing about your blog, but as you have seen you can make it private.

How about putting up a few public entries as well? I found it really interesting, well-written and not particularly libellous of anyone in particular . . .

Go on Gigi - live dangerously - you know you want to really! Now that Nick has whetted my appetite I'm not sure if I can survive without being able to read at least selected highlights of your libellous blog. Perhaps you could allow bona fide regulars to read it on receipt of notarised affidavits guaranteeing confidentiality?

Please.

Dave

Nick's yer man really. It's easy enough to add friends by adding user names under "Manage Friends" once logged in to your blog (I've already made you one of my friends - isn't that sweet) and changing the default for who can read new entries is under "General Settings" but the "Who can read?" option when editing an existing entry doesn't seem to include a "Friends Only" choice.

Nick will explain in due course, I'm sure.

Restricting your readership

Easier than adding individuals to the Friends list is to limit reading new entries to registered users, so only other bloggers can read them.

Otherwise, add whoever you want to your friends list (must also be registered users AFAIK) - this will only limit it to entries made after the change has been made, but as you're starting again that won't be a problem.
